Toronto, ON, Canada, April 5, 2010 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- GAO Comm has released its high performance QAM signal tester using Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and Radio Frequency (RF) technologies to enhance its practicality and reliability in testing parameters of digital TV transmission links including channel power, C/N, and MER. This well-designed signal tester is useful for testing in digital CATV transmission systems. It also tests indexes for analog TV including level and V/A.
The high performance QAM signal tester, model 771A, operates in the frequency range of 50MHz to 870MHz at an accuracy of ±10ppm. It supports 256QAM DVB mode and conducts QAM analysis at a symbol rate of 5.361Mps. In analog level testing, it supports CW, AM and FM signal types, while in digital power testing it tests signal types including QPSK, QAM, COMDF and random waveform. This optimized device can be connected to a computer via a serial port enabling easy storage, analysis and printing of test data.
