Zahn also confirmed that executive producers are re-releasing The Jesus Boat Revealed DVD; the new release includes exclusive, never-before-seen interviews and bonus material.
The 2000-year-old Jesus Boat was discovered twenty-four years ago in the Sea of Galilee by two area fishermen. Today, thousands travel to this small Israeli village every year from around the world just to visit the boat.
The boat’s discovery and excavation was a bittersweet mix of amazing miracles and seemingly insurmountable challenges, including opposition from neighboring villagers. While the Jesus Boat was being recovered from the sea, angry villagers appeared with weapons, and tried to take ownership of the priceless vessel.
“A re-enactment of the battle between kibbutz Ginosar and the village of Migdal over the boat is included in The Jesus Boat Revealed re-release,” says Alon Kossonogi, CEO of The Jesus Boat Museum Foundation. “The way in which the conflict was finally resolved may surprise some people. Many involved in the boat’s excavation consider the battle’s outcome to be nothing short of a miracle.”
The Jesus Boat Revealed is a one-hour movie chronicling the numerous stories surrounding the boat’s discovery and excavation through interviews with the people who were there. The docu-film illustrates how the vessel is a one-of-a-kind, physical touch-point to the exact time and place of Jesus Christ, and relays the exciting miracles experienced by those involved.

The Jesus Boat Revealed weaves two vital, parallel stories: the discovery of the boat and Israel’s fight for independence. The boat was discovered at the same location where Israeli soldiers were sent to battle; both Israel and the Jesus Boat were buried, rescued and resurrected; they were both victorious, succeeding against all odds, and – both ill-equipped – seeking creative solutions to overcome problem after problem.
