This tag is embedded into the tire mould prior to the manufacture and curing of the tire, so that the tire can be tracked conveniently. The highly robust RFID tag has a flexible construction enabling it to withstand tire deformation. It can be built into a truck tire which can be recapped several times.
This Gen 2 RFID tire tag, model 116043, conforms to ISO 16000-6C and EPC class 1 Gen 2 standards. It offers read distances of up to 1m when embedded into the tire and has a 96-bit programmable EPC number and 192bit user memory with lock capability. The tag boasts a factory programmed tag identification number to prevent cloning. It is sturdy enough to be operational throughout the duration of the tire's life span. Additionally, the tag survives high temperatures encountered in the tire curving process.
