Tellervision Features EBA's Dr. Linda Eagle

Management - HR- V Capital - Financevijay writes
Edcomm Banker's Academy's President and Founder Dr. Linda Eagle was recently featured in the March 2010 edition of TellerVision.

New York, NY, USA, 26 August, 2010 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- Edcomm Banker’s Academy’s President and Founder Dr. Linda Eagle was recently featured in the March 2010 edition of TellerVision as an expert of teller training in today’s tough economic climate. With 23+ years of experience in the financial services industry, Dr. Eagle explained how tellers empathize with their customers while still acting professional at their branch in the article entitled, “Balance Empathy with Professionalism in the Economic Crisis.”

Due to the economic crisis, bank tellers are handling a growing number of transactions from customers who have lost their jobs or face other difficult financial situations. As a result, bank tellers must determine how to compassionately serve these concerned and often desperate customers while still following all proper policies and procedures to avoid putting the bank at risk.

In order to help both the bank and its customers, bank tellers must be trained on how to be sympathetic to their customers’ financial difficulties, while remaining professional at their branch. “The trick for the teller is to find balance, and the trick for the bank is to discuss this issue with the tellers and educate them about maintaining professionalism while simultaneously showing empathy,” Dr. Eagle said. Bank tellers can achieve this balance by asking their customers more questions and offering recommendations, by avoiding to ask for more personal information than their customers are prepared to offer, and by maintaining a positive attitude.
