Ukraine, November 30, 2009 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- “Ukrainska Molochna Kompania” is the first company in Ukraine to receive the following license and the first one to sell electrical power, produced by burning of biogas.

“Ukrainska Molochna Kompania” owns a biogas plant that processes wastes of the agricultural complex (400 tons per day). Currently its capacity is 625 kilowatts. Electricity produced by company’s biogas plant is partially used to run the agricultural complex. The license allows the company to sell electricity on the energy market according to the standards set by the green tariff. The license is granted by “National Energy Regulation Commission.” Green tariff rates are set by NERC Department of power-producing companies. At present moment, green tariff rate is 1,34 hryvnias (UAH), exclusive of VAT.

Biogas plant was built by Ukrainian construction company “ZORG Ukraine” in 2009. It took only 1,5 month for “Ukrainska Molochna Kompania” company to receive the license.
