The U6S' mocha brown high-shine cover made by a thirteen step process and with underlying shimmering fibers that shine gets its name from the equally delicate luminous fabric, Voile. The leather bound palm rest adds a softness that personalizes the experience with a tactile computing experience. The streamlined hinge bears hotkeys with exquisite detailing that are ergonomically placed for easy access and minimum distraction.

The U6S adopts a special LED backlight panel that is half the width and 1/3 the weight of traditional LCD panels. It lowers power consumption and offers better luminance for a pleasant viewing experience. A built-in webcam allows instant high-resolution face to face communication without the hassle of external connections and messy wires. For hands free access, the exclusive ASUS SmartLogon software intelligently recognizes its rightful owner and grants access to the computer accordingly after a positive facial scan.
High-speed Internet Access Anywhere
The U6S is further incorporated with 3.5G High-Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA) wireless broadband capability which boosts current 3G download speeds by approximately 4 times, allowing users to connect to the Internet across cellular networks without the need to connect the computer to a mobile phone. Users will be able to wirelessly send and receive emails, surf the Internet, download attachments and access corporate networks through a virtual private network.
Seamless Security
To give business travelers peace of mind, the U6S features safeguards that combine a high-level of security along with ease of use. The fingerprint authentication allows for heavy duty security of data with the convenience of a finger swipe. The Trusted Platform Module (TPM) encrypts data, password retention and system log on for added data protection measures. In addition, ASUS CopyProtect prevents the unauthorized reproduction of data in the notebook, ensuring information exclusivity.
