New Orleans technology entrepreneur, Chris Schultz of Flatsourcing, an internet development company, packed the house at his SXSW Interactive Festival panel on the controversial topic, “Outsourcing 2.0: Is the World Flat or Not?” on Monday, March 16.
Austin, TX, USA, April 6, 2009 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- Schultz’ panel was one of the first chosen for the esteemed Austin tech conference, a nod to the high level of interest it was expected to generate and did. Other panelists included New Orleans software developer Matt Tritico, who works in the custom applications department at the LSU Health Sciences Center, Sandeep Sood of Monsoon Multimedia in Silicon Valley, and Andrea Azdril of Startech Global in Los Angeles.
“I am a huge advocate of the New Orleans tech community and had hoped that my panel would help raise awareness at SXSW for the Net2NO cause,” said Schultz. “So it was great to look out at the packed crowd and see all these techies who now know that New Orleans is open for business.”
Schultz led Net2NO, a delegation of representatives from Louisiana’s technology and economic development industries, who were in Austin to spread the word about the Greater New Orleans Region’s emerging Digital Media industry. Delegates manned a booth at the SXSW trade show March 14-16, 2009, armed with materials on Louisiana’s Digital Interactive Media Tax Credits for technology businesses, Angel Investment Tax Credits for start-ups, and personal success stories.
