When games giant Nintendo needed to find a model to appear on the front of their new game “Princess Debut: The Royal Ball”, they had a very specific brief to fill.
England, UK, July 9, 2009 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- In the game, the player is a princess who has 30 days to get ready for the big ball. In that time, they have to master dance moves, choose the perfect outfit and find a charming prince to hit the ballroom with.
Nintendo were looking for a young model who could personify the idea of the princess. With such a particular niche to fill, Nintendo went to Models Direct, one of the largest modelling agencies in the UK, an agency they had used to find models in the past.
Specialising in having a very diverse and wide range of models on their books, Models Direct soon came up with just the right person for the job.
They found 19 year old model Yasamine from London, who got her modelling career off to a fine start, having her hair and makeup done and dressing up like a princess at a ball. For 5'2” Yasamine, it was a fairytale start to a career in modelling!
Yasamine had a fantastic time working as a model for the day. “It felt amazing, dressing up, pretending to be a princess, you can't complain,” she said. “I felt it went very well and smoothly, the clients were very nice and helpful so I knew what they wanted. I was asked to act like a princess and dance as if I was at a ball, smiling and feeling excited to see my prince. The best thing was the clients telling me that they were very pleased with my performance.”
After her experience on set, Yasamine had some advice to share with anyone who is thinking of becoming a model. “You have to believe in yourself, put 100% in, and mainly enjoy yourself,” she said.
