Rivmixx.com has secured four of music's most respected names to blog on a weekly basis.
February 11, 2010 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- From today leading music authorities in rock - John Robb, hip hop - Ty, dance - Kutski, and industry experts - The Music Consultants will be sharing their passion for music and the latest happenings on Rivmixx.
Rivmixx MD, Danny Mac, said: "In January we introduced genre feeds and now only a short four weeks later we're thrilled to have a bunch of talented music stars blogging on the site. Personally I can't wait to hear what's on their playlists; their experiences at the top of the music world; and what they think's worth sharing with our growing community of Rivmixx readers."
Alternative rock music blogger, John Robb added, "Calling all international stations, my radar is buzzing, I'm in pop culture overload and need space to communicate all this action. My blogs will be anything that fire me up from music to the energy, the sex style and subversion of the counter culture. They will celebrate the great and destroy the vile; they will be short, sharp shocks of the now."
Robb made a name for himself in seminal Northern punk band The Membranes, before embarking on a career in journalism, writing for the likes of Melody Maker, Sounds, The Guardian and The Observer.
UK rap stalwart and Mercury nominated artist, Ty, joins Rivmixx in the run up to his new album release, with his hip hop music and culture blog.
"This is my opportunity to shed light on some other aspects of hip hop music that can get ignored for the simple reason of ignorance. Acts, music and art - all of it is open for interpretation from me. Freedom of speech and freedom of choice!"
Also joining the music site, with his view on what's going on in the world of dance, is Radio 1's own DJ Kutski. With his dance blog, Kutski intends to keep you updated with all areas of the scene.
"I wanted to start a blog for some time now, as I come across so much interesting stuff musically, and I think the world needs to know about it! This is the perfect opportunity for me to present my findings on a regular basis, about the scene, technology, and of course the music itself!"
