Photography - Printing - Scanninglaurel writes
Kodak and Optical Image Technology will be giving a collaborative presentation about how to create a digital office environment at the March 2010 ITEX show.  The session will be informational and interactive, and is intended to ensure successful document and content management implementations.

Las Vegas, NV, USA, February 23, 2010 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- Optical Image Technology and the Eastman Kodak Company will give a collaborative and interactive presentation at the ITEX show at the Las Vegas Convention Center on Thursday, March 4, 2010. The session, entitled Common Pitfalls in Enterprise Content Management Implementations and How to Avoid Them, will be presented by Jim Thumma, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Optical Image Technology, and Roger Markham, Product & Channel Marketing Manager of Eastman Kodak Company. Kevin Diday, Business Development Manager at Kodak, will serve as the panel moderator.

The ITEX show (Information Technology Education and Exposition) provides dealers, resellers, and independent software vendors opportunities to learn and exchange ideas relating to office equipment and supplies, document management, managed print services, and business solutions. This specific session will help resellers and office equipment dealers to gain a deeper understanding of digital document capture and enterprise content management (ECM), including obstacles that should be avoided during the design and implementation process. Presenters will share experiential insights that will assist solution providers as they guide their clients in creating and managing digital business environments.

The interactive presentation will enable panelists to unearth and address some of the challenges resellers face in implementing end-to-end office solutions. Presenters will discuss common pitfalls such as unclear or unrealistic goals, failure to align IT and business objectives, and neglecting to manage change internally. Practical tips will be offered to help solution providers ensure they are able to deliver meaningful results and a significant return for their clients’ technology investments.

Quotes
“Capture, document management, and business process management are mature technologies that offer a substantial return on investment when they are implemented properly. There is no reason any business solution should fail if the proper resources are invested in planning and execution. Our intent is to help solution providers to understand critical competencies that are required for success, as well as how to address potential obstacles and challenges. That way, they can deliver the benefits their clients expect and deserve.” - Jim Thumma, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Optical Image Technology

“As businesses seek ways to work smarter, faster and more efficiently, taking the time to properly plan and integrate an effective ECM solution into their company can result in greater time savings, cost management, better adherence to regulatory standards, and greater accountability for their critical information. Kodak and OIT’s presentation at ITEX will help the audience to understand the necessary steps behind implementing a valuable ECM solution into a business, offer advice for overcoming common issues, and discuss the ultimate return on investment that can be gained from proper implementation.” - Roger Markham, Product & Channel Marketing Manager, Document Imaging, Kodak
