Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, August 23, 2010 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- The Rs 720 crore, Mumbai headquartered Elder Pharmaceuticals Ltd, ( http://www.elderindia.com ) one of the fastest growing Domestic Pharmaceutical Companies has recommended a dividend of 30% for the year 2009-10 (ending 31st March 2010) and finalized the audited results at a board meeting held on August 18, 2010. During the financial year ended March 2010, the consolidated Income from Operations stood at Rs. 720.87 Crore (previous year 2008-09 - Rs. 619.72 Crore), registering a growth of 16%. Consolidated Net Profit for the period stood at Rs. 49.82 Crore. The EPS for FY2010 stood to Re 26.42.
For the first quarter ended June 2010 (Q1 FY2011), the consolidated Income from Operations increased by 19% and stood at Rs 194.30 Crore as compared to Rs. 162.90 Crore during the corresponding quarter in the previous year. The consolidated operating profit (PBIDT) too has gone up to Rs 37.77 Crore for Q1 FY2011 reflecting a growth of 40% over the previous corresponding quarter’s figure of Rs 26.97 Crore. The consolidated Net Profit too has gone up to Rs 16.68 Crore (previous year’s quarter - Rs 11.48 Crore) - a jump of 45%.
