Universal Tester Supports 22000 Devices

This universal programmer supports more than 22000+ devices to meet various needs for device programming and IC testing.


Toronto, ON, Canada, December 9, 2010 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- GAO Embedded (www.GAOEmbedded.com) has announced the release of its universal programmer with fast programming speed, which supports more than 22000+ devices to meet various needs for device programming and IC testing. It is able to handle several different types of devices including programmable read-only memory (PROM), programmable logic devices (PLD), flash microcontrollers and serial or parallel memory.

This universal programmer, model VP590, includes a 48-pin ZIF socket and manages 16 and 32-bit word splits. It features a fast programming speed, vector test capability, a multi-array fuse map editor and poor-pin-contact check upon device insertion. This compact universal programmer can automatically identify the manufacturer and type of (E)PROMs, TTL/CMOS or logic IC device upon insertion. It supports most compilers in JEDEC format including ABEL, CUPL, PALASM, TANGO PLD, ORCAD PLD, PLD Designer and ISDATA. The programmer accepts standard file formats such as JEDEC, INTEL (Extended) HEX, HOLTEK, EMC (CDS), INTEL HEX16 and Motorola S record. It isn't only a programmer, but also a tester of TTL/CMOS logic ICs and Dynamic/Static Random Access Memory devices.

Moreover, this programmer easily connects with a computer via USB port and such operating systems as Windows XP, 2000, NT and Vista.
