The segment-wise penetration at Print India will undoubtedly make big impressions post Drupa 2008 and get them set to strike Gold!"
Designed along the lines of the globally renowned, DRUPA, Print India 2008 will be a blessing in disguise for the printing community as it will showcase live machinery expo/demo for printers & converters; Generation Next technologies, papers, inks, surfaces and much more. It will also enable the manufacturers to get pre-confirmed orders at DRUPA and deliver the same at Print India 2008, while exhibiting their machineries. And at the same time, it will benefit the printers, by offering them a competitive price for their purchases.
The technological advancement and capabilities achieved has also brought the country to the lime light as a preferred and reliable hub. With twenty percent of the population being below 20 years and sixty four percent below 34 years a very high percentage influence the market and packaged and branded products with special features the packaging industry is set to grow exponentially. The consistently growing retail sector has become the niche for packaging industry growth. It is estimated that the retail in India will touch Rs.10,000 bn by 2010 and the share of the organised retail will be about Rs.810 bn. The latter's growth rate is placed at 40% CAG. With the industry poised to grow at an average rate of 12 percent, the flexibles, folding board cartons and labels are in the forefront with package converting and packaging machines becoming essential requisites.
