Second acquisition within six months, Acquisition by ValueFirst is aimed towards its expansion and IPO plans
Gurgaon, NCR, India, March 26, 2010 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- ValueFirst today announced the acquisition of Packet Shaper; a Noida based Telecom Software Development Company.
ValueFirst Messaging, an enterprise mobility and communication services company has acquired Packet Shaper Technologies Private Limited, a company engaged in building Telecom & VAS products for Carriers & Enterprises for an undisclosed sum.
Over the last 8 years, Packet Shaper has built niche products around Switching, Dialers, IVR, Calling Cards and IP-PBX etc. with customer installations in over 20 countries. Recently Packet Shaper has deployed its Pocketmail (email on sms) product at BSNL for making emails available on the mobile through sms without having to depend on expensive products like Blackberry. Pocketmail is designed for both consumers and corporates’ with a mobile work force.
Packet Shaper founder CEO, Mr. Saumendra Mohanty who will continue to run the company said that “Over the years Packet Shaper has specialised in developing Telecom and Mobile VAS software products catering to B2B market. We see tremendous synergy in associating with ValueFirst as they operate in same Eco System in a much larger scale. ValueFirst had earlier acquired an Escorts group company, Cellnext in October 2009 as a run up to its IPO.
