Novastor to Speak at Flash Memory Summit

Technology - Electronics - Hardwarerajafranklin writes
NovaStor's cost-effective solutions are platform- and hardware-independent and ensure that optimal technological and economical use is gained from the customer's existing and future IT environment.

Simi Valley, CA, USA, August 13, 2008 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- NovaStor Corporation, a leading provider of software solutions for data availability and protection, announced that Mike Andrews, Managing Director, would be speaking at the Flash Memory Summit in Santa Clara at the Santa Clara Marriott, tomorrow August 13th.

Mr. Andrews will be presenting Designing Applications for the Masses. With the proliferation of flash devices, applications need to be simplified, but more powerful and insightful than standard applications available on the market today. As flash devices become more commoditized the value will reside in the device content, but not the device itself. The necessity for device manufacturers to differentiate will be channeled through the availability of applications and the most successful will be those which can provide valuable services with minimal interaction.

Points of discussion for the presentation will be:

• The importance of differentiation as flash memory becomes more standard
• Minimizing application interaction (simple is difficult)
• Successful distribution models
• Software as a Service (SaaS) approach
• Capturing a new market – your own (use applications to find out who your end users are)

The Flash Memory Summit and Exhibition (www.flashmemorysummit.com) is a 3-day event, August 12th – 14th taking place in Santa Clara, California at the Santa Clara Marriott. The Flash Memory Summit program is designed to provide attendees with practical information on the current state of flash memory and its applications. The Program consists of all-day tutorials, panel discussions, keynotes, paper sessions and workshops covering the latest topics in flash memory:

• Embedded systems
• Laptop design
• Flash in enterprise storage systems
• Green flash
• Solid state drives
• Flash performance
• Mobile applications
• And more!!
