Microsoft Partners with Live Translation

IT - Software - Programming - Networking

www.livetranslation.com was launched in 2005 by Dewsbury-born entrepreneur Phillip Perks, and is the world's first real-time translation service powered by professional translators. With translators online throughout the day; projects are delivered within minutes of being requested via the website.

June 4, 2008 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- Microsoft already offers a free computerised translation service at http://translator.live.com; visitors to the site will now be able to enjoy the best of both worlds by selecting the option to upgrade from machine translation to one carried out by a professional human translator through Live Translation.

Live Translation Ltd Managing Director, Mr Perks, who studied at Huddersfield University, said: "It's wonderful to be recognised by the world's leading software supplier as a company who can offer a service to their millions of customers."

"It's testament to the quality of our service, our investment in technology and all the hard work that has gone into building the service over the last three years."

Lane Rau, marketing manager for machine translation at Microsoft said: "We want to provide our users with maximum choice to address all of their online translation needs. While our popular free service meets the needs of many users, the availability of professional translation through this partnership ensures that the needs of those who need low-cost, high quality human translations can be met."
