Intercept Enables Charity to Deliver Best Value

NPC outsources IT in managed hosted services contract Registered Charity New Philanthropy Capital (NPC), has awarded the leading virtual solutions specialist Intercept the contract for the provision of its managed hosted IT services.

June 6, 2008 (PRESSbooth.ORG) -- The three year managed service contract for Intercept's OnlineDesktop Solution, will encompass the provision of all business applications software, hosting in Intercept's secure data centres, and the provision of technical support to all NPC's staff.

New Philanthropy Capital (NPC) was set up by a group of leading City financiers who realised that there was nowhere to go for independent advice on giving money to charity.

Established in 2002, the founders believe that by arming organisations and individuals with information on the results actually achieved by charities, they could direct funds to the most effective organisations, helping to change lives for the better. Its 40+ strong team provides research to identify where the need is greatest, advice to donors to make giving a rewarding and effective investment, and the tools to charities to help them communicate their results more effectively.

NPC chose Intercept's OnlineDesktop Solution because of its track record in delivering virtual IT solutions and its approach to understanding NPC's requirements.

Jocelyn James, Chief Operating Officer, NPC, stated: "We needed an IT solution to support our growth whilst ensuring that we were getting the best possible value from our investment. In addition, we wanted to enable our staff to work flexibly from home or an alternative location when needed, whilst ensuring information security and business continuity."

Ian Readman, Intercept's Chief Executive said: "We are very excited to be partnering with a charitable organisation as passionate about changing lives as NPC, and look forward to a long and close relationship, with us indirectly supporting its tremendous work through the cost effective and productive use of IT."
